Job Summary:
The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Juice production schedule provides for the attainment of production goals through a plant resource allocation system that promotes maximum operational efficiency. He/She creates and maintains the daily production line and blending sheets in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations Management. Additionally, monitors production disruption, delays and other problems impacting operational efficiency and then adjusts schedules to optimize plant performance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule workflow for each production line according to previously established production sequences and lead times.
  • Work with Production management to re-sequence / reschedule production runs that cannot be manufactured as originally planned.
  • Proactively analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements.
  • Document and report shortage and quality issues with materials & ingredients. Facilitate finding corrective actions that minimize the impact on production.
  • Communicate with operations and supply chain daily regarding identified concerns with material / ingredient availability, equipment failures, changing customer orders, engineering changes and other deviations that impact the attainment of the production schedule.
  • Primary contact for day to day communication with Logistics Planners and operations management.
  • Reconcile production at end of each shift ensuring all scheduled orders were completed, case counts accurately included in shift end report and add back any shortages.
  • Attend daily production meeting reviewing the weekly production plan focusing efforts on efficient and reduced changeovers, communicate timeline for products on hold to be re-worked and forecast the shutdown plan for the week.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on customer order changes made during the day and the impact on production run sequences.
  • Support Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in analyzing data, production forecasting or scheduling.
  • Associate degree or Bachelors in business related field preferred but not required.
  • Understands and adheres to current health, safety and environment.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Supports and provides coverage as necessary to other scheduler.
  • Attention to detail and able to work under pressure situations.
