Job Summary:

Accountable for the shipping and receiving of raw material and finished goods. Responsible for all products produced on their shift and proper stock rotation. In addition, ensure production is supplied with the raw materials necessary to meet production schedule as necessary.

 

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The employee will be exposed to cold temperatures and loud noise within the work area. Occasionally work will be required outdoors. Work involves frequent lifting and carrying of materials and product up to 30 pounds. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit and use foot controls. Other requirements will include the use of computers, printers, hand scanners and radios. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses and hearing protectors. The use of coveralls, coats, gloves, and hairnets (and/or beard nets) is required in many working area. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately count all product manufactured by the juice plant using the warehouse counting procedure.
  • Ensure all product and supplies are rotated on a FIFO (first-in-first-out) basis; concentrates, bases, bottles, shippers, packaging materials and finished goods.
  • Fill orders according to the procedure for picking orders sheet.
  • Document pallet adjustments; perform production counts and TQM’s for each item produced.
  • Load and inspect cargo to ensure product is wrapped and stable for transportation.
  • Load trucks per purchase order/load sheet to ensure accurate shipments to customers.
  • Verify completion of all shipping and receiving documents to include; codes, dates, case counts, trucking company, pallets in and out, date, signature, and shipping/receiving checklists and seal numbers.
  • Upon receipt, verify material counts against incoming paperwork to ensure there are no discrepancies. Report any variances to shift lead prior to signing paperwork.
  • Notify warehouse lead or supervisor regarding any quality of food safety issues involving incoming material or finished goods.
  • Supply all production areas in a timely manner with materials needed to complete production schedules.
  • Transfer and stock blow mold bottles to the warehouse.
  • Record any un-saleable or damaged items on an inventory adjustment sheet.
  • Stock all materials in a manner that will promote easy accessibility.
  • Assist other warehouse employees in the completion of their assigned duties.
  • Follow all warehouse, company and customer policies, procedures and requests.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work area.
  • This position is backed up by the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Leads, and other Forklift Operators.
  • This position serves as back up to other Forklift Operators.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED and 1-2 years related warehouse experience.
  • Skilled at operating forklifts.
  • Ability to remain flexible and accept changes in the work environment, procedures, special requests, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs on a consistent basis; Able to frequently lift/carry 55 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in basic math skills.
  • Individual is detail oriented and has strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including weekends.
