Job Summary:

Industrial Maintenance experience with High Pressure Boiler Operation and Refrigeration Systems certification.

 

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The employee can occasionally be exposed to hot or cold temperatures, and loud noise within the work area. The environment will occasionally be moist or wet, and the use of chemicals is required. Work involves occasionally lifting and carrying of materials and product up to 40 pounds. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to stand and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasional driving will be required. Employee will be required to use computers, printers, telephone, copiers, and on occasion, fax machines. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses and hearing protectors. The use of coveralls and hairnets (and/or beard nets) is required in working area. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex diagnostic tests and procedures, either electrical or mechanical.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
  • Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required: fabricated parts, welds, etc.
  • Interface with production supervisors and workers to solicit information about problems and performance.
  • PLC and Automated Control Systems experience.
  • High Pressure Boiler and Refrigeration Systems experience.
  • Maintain a clean and well organized work area that promotes food safety, quality, personal safety and efficiency.
  • This position is backed up by the Maintenance Supervisors and Level A Mechanics.
  • This position serves as back-up to Levels A, B, and C Mechanics.

Qualifications

  • 10 years Industrial Maintenance experience in similar environment.
  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems.
  • High Pressure Boiler Operations Certificate and experience
  • Refrigeration Systems training certificate
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, programming languages, complicated drawings and specifications, advanced mathematics and use a variety of computer related equipment and instruments.
  • Effectively interfaces with workers and supervisors to solicit information about problems, performance and scheduling concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area that promotes safety and efficiency.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including weekends.
