Job Summary:

Ensure compliance with all OSHA Standards and Guidelines by overseeing training programs and investigating employee incidents, accidents and injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct full investigations of any employee incidents, accidents or injuries according to OSHA protocols and reporting requirements. Investigations will include documenting and preserving the scene, collecting information from all applicable parties, determining the root cause and ensuring implementation of corrective actions.
  • Asist in ensuring adherence to all OSHA standards and guidelines.
  • Support department recordkeeping records of site wide safety training, and assist in organizing training when necessary.
  • Ensure company visitors and contractors are informed of and in compliance with site wide safety and compliance policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety, compliance or related fields.
  • Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, with ample knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Safety Standards, including but not limited to Fall Protection, Lock Out Tag Out, Hot Work and Confined Space.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently.
  • Successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours.
