Job Summary:

Responsible for all aspects of the organization’s production and inventory reporting as well as performing general accounting functions.


Working Conditions:

General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 30% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. May require trips to attached plant/warehouse to verify inventory or usage, on an as needed basis.


  • Formulate and maintain production & inventory reports.
  • Analyze and reconcile material, labor & overhead variances.
  • Process daily production information and distribute reports.
  • Weekly Ingredient loss/yield reports.
  • Weekly downtime reports.
  • Weekly co-pack billing
  • Post Batching and distribution of necessary batching reports.
  • Compile and analyze daily and weekly reports on production efficiencies
  • Reconcile inventory
  • Maintain and update Inventory database with weekly file updates.
  • Process inventory adjustments.
  • Assist in inventory cycle counting.
  • Act as back-up for biweekly payroll processing.
  • Other duties as assigned by Vice President of Operations
  • Support Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
  • This position is backed up by the Production Scheduler and Customer Service Representative/Materials Coordinator.


  • Degree in accounting with 7-10 years accounting experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Individual is a detail oriented and organized, able to manage multiple projects concurrently, set priorities and follow through.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong PC skills a must; experience working with an integrated accounting system and MS Office Products.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work occasional weekends.
