Job Summary:

Directly supervise hourly personnel during shift and satisfy all production, quality, and safety requirements per company expectations. Follow through on adjustments to schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Plan daily product order by style and vat, maximizing processing room capacity and match filling line production needs for efficiency and flexibility
  • Carry out product schedule modifications made by management by directing affected employees
  • Monitor raw material supplies
  • Monitor sanitation performance of CIP equipment through chemical concentration checks, initiate same, and plan corrective actions with processors
  • Collect processing operators log sheets, review results and provide immediate feedback to employee
  • Maintain oversight of employee work habits, ensure compliance with company rules and expectations.
  • Monitor processors’ sanitation chemical use for safety and effectiveness
  • Monitor processing records for regulatory and SQF requirements and re-train employees as needed
  • Report potential issues that affect quality or product safety immediately
  • Communicate immediate needs for maintenance and repair of equipment used in processing
  • Monitor laboratory results for product blends, and initiate any immediate corrective action
  • Coordinate vacation schedule of processors and maintain record of same
  • Through training, become familiar with FDA (PMO) requirements that could affect public health
  • Through ongoing training, become familiar with mathematical calculations necessary for product adjustments
  • Provide necessary feedback on results to any processor or employee vs. their daily work expectation (work performed vs work required)
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills with word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Above average math skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized; set priorities and follow through.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including weekends.
