Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Analyst will support Supply Chain operations by providing business modeling, financial analysis, and business intelligence to improve the business.  He/she will also be responsible for gathering data, conducting analysis and designing, constructing, and publishing existing and new reports used by all levels of leadership within the Supply Chain department.  The Supply Chain Analyst will also create ad-hoc reporting and perform analysis to help solve business problems.  He/she will regularly collaborate across multiple business functions to enable and drive problem solving and business improvement.  The ability to build and leverage strong relationships to achieve goals is critical.  This position requires an individual that is highly motived to work with data, has exceptional analytical skills, is organized and a self-starter with genuine investigative talents, and has the ability to find, analyze, and present information to assist in developing operational strategy and efficiency within the environment. 


The Supply Chain Analyst position is a key role within our strategic plan for supply chain management.  Excellent organizational skills, the ability to balance short term priorities and exceptional information analysis skills are a necessity. 


  • Proactively engage with Sales team and Customers to improve forecast accuracy and address matters including new introductions, excess and obsolete inventory, product ramp-up, and discontinuations.
  • Maintain Supply Chain data to assist with effective stock planning. This includes validating data, updating reports, reconciling inventory, closing orders, item maintenance, etc.
  • Manage Supply Chain KPIs including, but not limited to, monitoring inventory levels, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and aged inventory.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and actively participate in projects aimed at building Supply Chain efficiencies and realizing cost savings. 
  • Gather data and conduct analysis with the goal of improving the Organization's Supply Chain operations.  Identify underperforming areas in the Supply Chain and suggest improvements or resolutions to problems.
  • Assist in implementation of new systems.
  • Develop, generate, and publish supply chain reports and dashboards, as well as optimizing existing reports, analysis tools, data sources, database queries, and procedures to further pinpoint opportunities for improvement in the department.
  • Perform quantitative analysis and root cause analysis. Participate in the development of recommendations to optimize operations processes and performance.  Run statistical analysis and conduct data modeling to identify key issues and recommend possible solutions.
  • Support the manufacturing team to calculate optimal system settings (case packs, ship units, etc.) to reduce handling and operating costs, and provide data analysis and reporting related to increasing optimization and performance improvement.
  • Able to learn new analytics reporting technology and other data mining techniques, and apply them to the existing techniques in use in the company.
  • Execute processes and procedures (e.g., SOPs, work instructions) and provide recommendations for updates for applicable Supply Chain functions.
  • Collaborate with departments (such as Sales, Operations, Finance) within the company in order to assess needs and perform actions required across the entire supply chain continuum (e.g., plan, source, make, and deliver) seeking to manage product flow including issues with limited scope.
  • Assist team members in assessing vendors to ensure cost, quality, delivery, technical, and service capabilities to meet the company’s requirements; identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Provide forecasts to suppliers as required based on sales and production plans.
  • Provide documentation on production delays and out of stocks due to raw materials or alternate material use: perform root cause analysis.
  • Research market trends related to assigned commodities to predict cost changes.
  • Provide input into the planning cycle by providing annual volume and trend forecasts.
  • Communicate daily to support replenishment of on-site levels based on demand.
  • Perform inventory analysis.
  • Update cost saving reports monthly, as required, to support business objectives.
  • Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Inventory Management, Forecasting, and Supply Chain Operations
  • Experience and proficiency working in MRP systems and MS Office
  • Strong skills in MS Excel
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work independently
  • Highly motivated, innovative, and able to work independently and with teams
  • Detail oriented and organized with a can-do attitude
  • Food manufacturing experience a plus
