    JOB SUMMARY

     

    Responsible for driving results through improved sales volume of all Johanna branded products utilizing the following activities:  Achievement of assigned goals, working primarily through a broker network, identification and analysis of market opportunities, building a profitable volume/mix with both existing and new accounts.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve all category revenue and profit objectives.
    • Develop annual sales/business plans and forecasts by account, by product within the timelines and financial parameters given.
    • Create Plan of Action by account along with broker input and support.
    • Target and focus on specific opportunities in defined accounts and on a market basis.
    • Follow up on broker activities to ensure focus to drive sales.
    • Develop and manage all promotional budgets.
    • Work with Marketing Manager in establishing new items and programs.
    • Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain management in forecasting packaging and special account needs to insure in-stock and on demand delivery.
    • Promote and drive corporate capabilities to optimize the most profitable accounts and initiatives in growing the category and driving consumption at retail.
    • Communicate externally and internally as is needed to drive category initiatives and insure that all the stakeholders are on the same page.
    • Develop an action plan and manage the Sales representative responsible for maintaining and developing new distribution opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable quality system standards and the unit’s food safety, and security programs in support of essential manufacturing strategies and practices.

    Qualifications

    • Four-year college degree preferred in business field and/or relevant industry experience
    • At least 7-10 years experience in the perishable food industry and possesses knowledge of retail distribution
    • Experienced in a manufacturing environment
    • Marketing experience desired
    • Reliable, proactive, detail-oriented
    • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly through excellent written and verbal means
    • Demonstrates analytical ability and ease in working with and presenting data
    • Highly functional team member with ability to set expectations and lead by example
    • Identifies and works effectively with key decision makers and influencers
    • Demonstrates problem solving and leadership skills
    • Manages multiple tasks and sets priorities according to key business needs
    • Quickly and effectively initiates resolutions for known and latent business issues
    • Accurately forecasts business requirements
    • Skilled in general computer use and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Potential for travel up to 50% of the time
