    The Sales Manager for Foodservice and Alternate Trade is responsible for managing branded and private label sales for the Foodservice and Alternate Trade Business.  The scope of responsibility includes execution of sales plans for development of new business via bids, prospecting, selling and closing of sales to existing and new Foodservice customers. Primary functions are to prospect and assess customer’s alignment and leverage Johanna capabilities to increase sales.  



    • Lead all activities associated with assigned accounts
    • Execute plans and programs to achieve maximum sales volume and profit objectives
    • Support the cross-functional development of sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies, and procedures for the Johanna foodservice business.
    • Achieve established growth and profitability targets for assigned customers including P&L input and review.
    • Identify and develop National Account Initiatives (new sales opportunities)
    • Plan and execute quarterly business reviews with account or as required to drive business and build relationships at various levels with accounts.
    • Manage promotional activities to insure effective execution of sales plans.
    • Create, optimize, and maintain relationships with corporate headquarters and customers


    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • 5 - 8 years of experience in Foodservice CPG sales is required
    • At least 7-10 years’ experience in the perishable foodservice industry and knowledge of retail experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Established experience and understanding of Foodservice Distributors that support a manufacturers' ability to implement within the Foodservice industry is a must
    • Relevant pre-established relationships or path to key customers
    • Experience working and implementing foodservice contracts and negotiations
    • Foodservice experience as a Sales  Manager of (Brokers and Direct Sales) 
    • Track record of being highly customer focused, building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines
    • Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
    • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly through excellent written and verbal means.
    • Demonstrates analytical ability and ease in working with and presenting data.
    • Ability to work independently on projects to achieve the desired result.
    • Manages multiple tasks and sets priorities according to key business needs.
    • Accurately forecasts business requirements.
    • Skilled in general computer use and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.





    Travel up to 50% of the time.
